When it comes to Borderlands 3 Vladof, we're talking about attachments. Featuring a more modular selection of weapons than any other manufacturer, including Dahl, Vladof makes guns for your guns. We're being quite literal! Underbarrel add-ons rule the playing field, and they range from tasers all the way to micro-rockets. Mortars, even!

Vladof Borderlands 3 guns are completely over-designed to the point of bulkiness. Thing is, that's what makes them as insanely badass as they are. Who wouldn't want a space AK-74 with a jet-powered bipod? Come on, you know that's awesome. Much like DahlVladof makes reliable, all-purpose weaponry. The difference is that, unlike Dahl, Vladof's guns also have additional features literally mounted on top. These features may be pure utility, like the bipod, or an alternative damage-dealing method. Grenade launchers are a thing, after all.

Below, we'll go over what you could and should expect from a Vladof, and how to use their guns best. In case you've been keeping up with us, we've got loads of such articles on other Borderlands 3 gun manufacturers already. We'll provide links below!

The Function of Borderlands 3 Vladof Guns

Borderlands 3 Vladof

RADIO ADVERTISEMENT: "Comrade Vladof addressing you! The people can overcome their oppressors only by banding together in large numbers, just like the high rate-of-fire of Vladof weapons! Except the people are BULLETS!"

You need to understand that a Vladof gun is built for one thing, and one thing only: rapid delivery of excessive firepower. We're talking an insanely high rate of fire, too many explosions to keep track of, and so many gun barrels that it's hard to tell what the bullets are coming out of. If that's the sort of thing to intrigue you, this may be the best thing ever.

Vladof Borderlands 3 banks on presenting you with guns that do multiple things at once. For example, a generic Vladof assault rifle may roll with an under-barrel shotgun attachment. In turn, this allows you to engage enemies at both close and medium ranges. Some attachments will function as additional standalone guns, while others will augment the base weapon when turned on. Vladof attachments include:

  • Jet-powered bipods
  • Pistol tasers
  • Zip-rockets
  • Additional gun barrels
  • Grenade launchers
  • Shotguns
  • Rockets
  • Swarm missiles
  • Big-Boy rockets
  • Mortar launchers

Naturally, an under-barrel shotgun or a zip-rocket mount are fully-fledged alt-fire modes, but additional gun barrels simply multiply your fire-rate and DPS at the cost of burning through ammo way faster. If that sounds slightlimpractical, that's because it is, but emptying the magazine of a twin-gatling sci-fi AK is more fun than we can put into words.

Since a Vladof can essentially deliver two guns in one, they make for great fall-back weaponry! Certain lucky drops are complete game-changers, though. It goes without saying than an elemental Vladof may even compete with a Maliwan in some cases.

What are the Best Borderlands 3 Vladof Legendaries?

Borderlands 3 Vladof

In Borderlands 3Vladof makes a wide variety of legendary guns that can (and will) blow your mind. The most interesting of them all, though, has got to be the Damned assault rifle. This weird mish-mash of shooters comes with an integrated Hyperion shield! If nothing else, it did make us wish for more cross-manufacturer hybrid weapons, and we're hoping Gearbox explores this idea in the future.

A more immediately useful and reliable Vladof legendary weapon would be the Lyuda sniper rifle. Perfect for boss assassinations, this sniper spawns additional projectiles the longer a bullet is in mind-air. It may take a bit to get used to its exact effective range, but when you do, Lyuda is an utter beast. The catch is that it can be found in any lootable source, which makes farming it out a complete crapshoot.

Lucian's Call assault rifle and the Jericho rocket launcher are quite competent as well, offering immense firepower to those who learn how to wield them properly. The way to go about using any Vladof legendary, however, is to completely saturate the target area with firepower. These fast-firing, high-capacity beasts will shred through unlucky mobs, and their special gimmicks will help with taking out harder targets as well.

Vladof Borderlands 3: What to look for?

The downside to using a Vladof is that you'll burn through ammo fast no matter how large your magazines are. That's why you should always be on the lookout for high-capacity Vladof guns. Drum mags will be your best bet, but you will also want to consider the exact attachments you get. These will be what defines the role of your new Vladof. In more concrete terms, whether your new scoped Vladof assault rifle comes with a bipod or a grenade launcher, you may use it for wildly different things. Recoil can be a right bastard at such high fire-rates, but the bipod nullifies it completely. On the other hand, the grenade launcher does offer a not-insignificant amount of crowd control.

Vladof sniper rifles with shotguns are particularly curious. They usually come with long-range scopes and slow-firing attachments, which means they won't be all that useful at close-range. Can it help in a pinch? Of course. Is it something to rely on? God, no.

It really boils down to knowing what a particular gun is good for, but we think that's half the fun, anyway. With so many randomised guns, some of them can't help but be useless. Others will positively melt everything in front of you, like the Legendary Shredifier assault rifle.
