If you, too, were taken aback upon first seeing Manor Lords, we cannot blame you. Produced by a single person, this incredible-looking and remarkably deep and realistic city-building game promises to push its niche forward in a way we never could've foreseen. But wait, it definitely does look incredible, visually speaking. And it runs on Unreal Engine! Good heavens, what does that mean for Manor Lords' hardware requirements and PC performance? Well, we can help you figure it out!
Indeed, many of us who first came across Manor Lords immediately got worried over its graphics. A Steam Early Access strategy game that looks this good simply cannot run well on low and mid-range PCs, right? Well, you might be surprised by what we've got to share. Is Manor Lords Low-Spec Friendly?
As surprising as this may sound, Manor Lords actually runs incredibly well even on low-end PCs. As the video featured above should plainly show (kudos to Low Spec Laptop Gamer for their valuable work!), Manor Lords will be perfectly playable on an old i3 CPU from Intel without so much as a dedicated graphics card! It gets better, though, as we've also found that Manor Lords can reach 50-60 FPS on the Steam Deck, which illustrates our point further.
Naturally, getting Manor Lords to run on low-end systems means you're not even trying to make it look good, but the fact that the game is this scalable is phenomenal news. Those who pack mighty rigs with powerful GPUs will be able to enjoy an almost photorealistic experience, then, while players sticking with handhelds and low-spec hardware will still get the same gameplay and features.
Official System Requirements - Recommended Spec
As you might've spotted in our earlier Everything We Know piece on Manor Lords, the game is suspiciously friendly to low-end rigs. Here are the recommended system specs as of April 30, 2024:

Not bad, right? This corroborates our findings of the game running remarkably well, too, as the developer has clearly done something incredibly right to get Manor Lords to look and run as well as it does. So, good news across the board, we'd say!
