It is a good time to be a gamer, isn't it? There are so many high-quality games out there, from big AAA titles to indies, it can be sometimes hard to decide which one to play.
The first impression means a ton, and if I game doesn't grab you in its first 5 minutes, there is a good chance you will move to something else, even though you liked the game.
Oh, and look here, a new game just got released. Got to get that one as well. Surely you are going to beat it... eventually.

Sweet problems

We already talked about all the sweet problems when it comes to owning a plethora of games. I got over 100 games in my library in less than 3 months, and I haven't even felt the damage in my wallet, because games are getting discounts almost on a daily basis.

On 2game alone you can look forward to multiple sales every week, and we are talking up to -85%. That is just insane.
So, yeah, the game library, it can pile up pretty fast.

So what can you do about it? It's not like you should start deleting your games. You want to play them, but time is always the factor.

Sharing is caring

We propose an alternative - instead of buying a new game this month, why not buy a game for a friend, a sibling, someone that means a lot to you. It is true what they say, giving is better than taking, and I got to experience that recently.

I've never played Assassin's Creed Odyssey nor did I buy it, not because I didn't want to, but because I realized I just won't have enough time to give the game attention it deserves.
Plus, Yoku's Island Express won't beat itself, and Bioshock Infinite, and Arkham City, and... well, you get the picture.
So, what did I do? I bought the game anyway, BUT I gave it to a close friend as a gift. The surprise on his face meant more than playing the actual game.

Expanding the video game fanbase

There is another huge advantage to giving games as a gift, and it concerns the video game industry as a whole. See, the aforementioned friend never actually played Assassin's Creed game before, yet he really liked the theme of the latest one but couldn't bring himself to buy it for various reasons. By giving him the game I just created a new fan of the franchise and the genre.

There is a significantly higher chance he will get the next Assassin's Creed game because of it, or even try some of the older titles.

Now imagine each and every one of us giving a video game to someone. Imagine how fast the love for video games would spread. Imagine all the stories you could share with people that enjoyed the same game you played. Imagine all the people living for today.

Don't wait for Christmas or birthdays, you can put a smile on someones face today :)
