Pacific Drive is, at its core, a true-to-form survival game. By default, this means you'll be juggling dozens (upon dozens) of unique materials wherever you go, and you'll definitely need a place to store all your stuff while you're away. Thankfully, there are places in the garage where you can store some stuff, such as the several different yellow lockers you'll find your first alternative car parts. Those are good, for sure, but the Transfer Trunk is what you should be really interested in.

The Transfer Trunk is Pacific Drive's most important piece of inventory storage. Outside of your car and your avatar, of course. This is a movable crate that will easily house a whole bunch of resources you'll be stocking up on. And, since you can carry it around, it'll be easy to get it to your jalopy, offload all the goodies, and then move it back into place. Of course, the Transfer Trunk also interacts with your crafting benches, so all the resources housed in it will be accessible no matter what you need them for. How do you get it, though?

How to get the Transfer Trunk in Pacific Drive?

You get the Transfer Trunk in Pacific Drive after just a few initial runs, as the tutorial section wraps up to a close. The Trunk will appear as one of the "rewards" spit out by your friendly anomalous garbage bin, in the back of the garage. It's pretty hard to miss the Transfer Trunk, too, because it's a large honking box to begin with.

However, if you ever end up losing the Transfer Trunk, be sure to check out one of the backmost rooms of the garage. The Shop-Vac that's there can be used to hoover up any and all items that drop on the floor while you're working. Once the hoovering is done, the Vac will respawn your Transfer Trunk on the nearby pedestal with all the collected resources stored safely inside.

Neat and handy, isn't it?

Now, as important as the Transfer Trunk might be, it's worth highlighting that you do get the opportunity to improve your storage facilities later on. Through the Research Station, you'll be able to massively upgrade the inventories of your garage, car, and character respectively, and we highly recommend doing so as soon as possible. Regardless, the Transfer Trunk remains a handy tool throughout the game, and you're sure to get much out of using it no matter how you upgrade your gear.
