What is there to be said about LEGO that hasn't been said already? Charming and intuitive building blocks captivated our imagination and they spilled that charm all over video games as well.
Today the LEGO sale begins all the way till the end of the week. There is a truck-load of LEGO goodness on sale, so here are some highlights.

From Bricks to The Big Screen... to The Small Screen

When LEGO The Movie was announced we all thought one thing "What are they thinking?" All of us were proven wrong when it got released, with people being furious for it not getting an Oscar nomination. Seriously, it is that good. But what is this, a movie website or a video game website?

The LEGO Movie - Videogame (£3.75 / €5.00 / $5.00)got released soon after, and boy oh boy, was it a faithful adaptation. With Emmet, Wyldstyle and one and only Batman, you will traverse many different LEGO worlds to stop Emperor Business from making everything dull and unimaginative.

It retains the LEGO gameplay you all know and love, only this time even the world around you is made out of bricks instead of just characters and some context-sensitive objects.
Same goes for its sequel The LEGO Movie 2 - Videogame (£10.00 / €12.00 / $12.00), mixing standard Legos with Duplos, making for one crazy ride.

Don't worry if you haven't seen the movies. Both games are sprinkled with cutscenes straight from the movies so you will be able to follow the story without a hitch.

Sound of da LEGO Police

Changing up the formula, LEGO CITY Undercover (£6.25 / €7.50 / $10.00) takes you on exploring a huge open-world littered with secrets and collectibles.

Fill in the shoes of hase Chase McCain and solve the crimes, arrest criminals and do your duty as a cop. You'll get to ride all sorts of vehicles, from police cars to choppers, and bust out all the cool moves like wall jumping and pole swinging. That Chase McCain truly is one acrobatic cop.

Even with the huge world on your disposal, the co-op is intact so you will get to experience all the shenanigans of the police department with a friend by your side.

LEGOs... Assemble

From real heroes to fictional heroes LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (£3.75 / €5.00 / $5.00) lets you play with more Marvel characters than you thought existed. Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hulk... No, we are not going to name them all, but this is just to give you an idea of the diversity of characters and gameplay styles.

Get enough collectibles and you will get a chance to play as villains as well. Who doesn't want to climb on buildings with Venom?

All those characters gathered for one epic story... How the hell are they gonna beat that? With a sequel, of course.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 (£12.50 / €15.00 / $20.00)
puts a time-traveling twist to the story, along with different realities. All those characters you played as before, you will get to experience playing with them in a whole new way. With even more content than it's predecessor, this one is hard to resist.

Definitive LEGO Experience

And now for something completely different.
LEGO Worlds (£12.50 / €15.00 / $15.00)
retains the core mechanics of the gameplay but it goes a few hundred steps further and introduces the building mechanic.

It is exactly what you think it is, a LEGO game where you can build whatever you want, and we mean WHATEVER YOU WANT!

As you play the story mode, you will get access to all sorts of differenet LEGO pieces which you can use in Sandbox Mode to create your very own worlds filled with tall mountains, dark caves, pirate ships, tree houses, sprawling cities... sky is the limit. Well, not even sky is the limit here, as you can build skyscrapers so tall it will take you hours to climb.

A definitive LEGO experience? We would like to think so.

There are plenty more of LEGO games on sale, from Harry Potter and Star Wars all the way to Jurassic Park, The Incredibles, and DC Super-Villains, so be sure to click HERE and check everything that's on offer.
