If you're a strategy game fan, the odds are good that you're already knee-deep in Manor Lords, which is ticking all the key boxes a budding new city-builder ought to tick. Heck, you might've even had the chance to go over our Everything We Know article for Manor Lords if you were curious about its technical details, content, and other related tidbits. Where is its content roadmap, though?
Well, it just so happens that Manor Lords does not currently have a content roadmap, and the odds are slim that it would get one anyway. As the game only just released via Steam Early Access, this is obviously not great news for those who'd like to keep track of what's what and what's not. It is what it is, however, and the developer Slavic Magic has got a good explanation as to why that's the case.

Manor Lords Content Roadmap: Where is it?
"I do not plan on releasing a roadmap yet," said the solo developer of Manor Lords, Greg Styczeń. "I've made a mistake once or twice before, of promising and working on a feature only to find out that the testers didn't care as much as I did and that they actually wanted something else. So even if I have a plan, I want to adopt the philosophy of "listen, verify, implement"."
Styczeń explained why he's going to forego a content roadmap for Manor Lords for the time being on Steam, saying that he expects the first month of patches for the game to be purely polishing and bug fixing. During this time, Slavic Magic and his publisher, Hooded Horse, will be collecting the players' feedback and prioritizing further development based on what they hear from you.
"I'm still considering whether to keep the testing of future patches closed or open," Styczeń added. "My current idea is to have an open pre_release beta branch so that everyone who owns the game can check and test the most recent pre-release unstable version of the game and contribute if they want to. And keeping the main branch as the previous most stable version."
Whatever the case may be, Styczeń appears to be fully open to player feedback and interested in hearing what everyone's got to say on the matter. Our best source of update information and content teasing for Manor Lords will be the game's official Steam blog, as per Styczeń's claims, so we'll just have to stay tuned to that!
