Now that we covered what you need in order to play, let's continue with getting started in Greymoor.

Getting started in Greymoor – how to get to Western Skyrim

Greymoor Western Skyrim

Obviously, the first step to getting started in Greymoor is to get to the location where it takes place. In this case, that is Western Skyrim. Once again, there are multiple ways of getting there depending if you're using a new or existing character.

Getting to Western Skyrim with a new character is extremely simple. All you have to do is create the character and complete the new chapter tutorial. After that you'll be taken directly to Western Skyrim and able to start your adventure from there. If you want to start the Greymoor main storyline you should head to Solitude.

If you're getting started in Greymoor with an existing character getting to Western Skyrim should be super easy, barely an inconvenience. Just open up your map and select the Western Skyrim zone. You should see the Solitude Docks Wayshrine which you can teleport to. And that's it!

How to get to Blackreach

The Elder Scrolls Online Greymoor Blackreach

Blackreach is one of the most appealing additions that come with Greymoor. It's a magnificent subterranean world filled with treasure, monsters, and antiques. Which we will talk about in a minute.

So how to get to Blackreach? Once again, there are several ways to do so. However, this time they don't depend on whether your character is new or not. The most straightforward way is by following the main quest storyline. Just play along and you will discover a cave entrance which is the entrance to Blackreach. The storyline actually requires you to visit it, so there is no way you can miss it.

However, you can also find the cave on your own by discovering a dwarven lift. There are a total of three of those scattered around Western Skyrim. They are access points for Blackreach, and each one of those will take you into a different part of it. If you're in a rush, the easiest one to reach is found south of Solitude Docks.

Getting started in Greymoor – gathering antiques

So you want to be The Elder Scrolls' version of Indiana Jones? Quite understandable, and I'm glad I'm not the only one. You can do so by joining the Antiquarian's Circle. Joining them will allow you to find hidden treasures and antiques across Tamriel. Getting started in Greymoor antique gathering takes a few steps, but it's nothing you should shy away from.

First of all, you'll want to go to Solitude and find Antiquarian's Circle. They're right next to the Bards College so it's hard to miss them. Once you enter, find Verita Numeda and speak to her. You will then receive a tutorial quest, a special tool called Antiquarian's Eye, and some leads on the location of antiques.

All you have to do then is complete the quests she gives you and you'll come out on the other side a full-fledged hunter of antiques! All that is left after that is to start exploring!

And that's all that you need to know about getting started in Greymoor! It is certainly an expansion done right as it won't leave new or returning players flabbergasted while still managing to add tons of new enjoyable content to the game. So go and explore Western Skyrim, and I'll see yo next time!
