Top 10 Best Black Friday Game Discounts: Our Highlights
Now that we all have a pretty solid idea of what to expect - and when to expect it - it's time to go over some of the games that we believe are a must-have at the given price-point. We've managed to boil it all down to a top 10 list, though we could've gone on for at least five times as many choices. Since that's in nobody's interest, though, we'll have to settle for a top 10 list!
From Ubisoft's top-tier flagships all the way to some of the latest and greatest zombie shooters on the market - there's much to love in our Black Friday sale this year. Truthfully, it's probably the best we've ever had - so far.
Ghost Recon: Breakpoint - 85% Discount
Guys, we don't know if we've driven that point home properly, but Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is pretty darn awesome nowadays. Now that the latest updates have added an entirely new campaign mode on top of the existing one - a veritable post-game progression system - we can do nothing other than to sing hefty praise to the game. Seriously though, the game is a proper Wildlands sequel if you turn off all of its RPG-lite mechanics, and anyone with a passing interest in the game should give it a shot. Especially when we've got it at 85% off!

Total War: Warhammer II - 66% Discount
With Total War: Warhammer III on the horizon, if you want to make the most out of the game's immense Mortal Empires campaign mode, you're going to want to look into previous Total Warhammer titles, too. Total War: Warhammer II, for one, will add a slew of extra factions and content to the mix. Not to mention the fact that you can play it until III finally comes out in 2022. It's not just one of the best Warhammer Fantasy games on the market, but it's also one of the best Total War titles, to boot. What more could a strategy gamer wish for?

Death Stranding is pretty neat! At 70% off, though, it's a must-have. This strange open-world traversal game is one of Hideo Kojima's career highlights, easily. Don't kid yourself, though: this is a huge game. Dozens upon dozens of hours of playtime await in Death Stranding. Resident Evil Village - 50% Discount
One of the most important games on this list, Village is a must-play however you turn it. If you're looking for an excuse to play Capcom's latest iteration of the revered Resident Evil franchise, we've got you covered. For everyone else, this is the defining AAA blockbuster of 2021. In more ways than one, it's a summary of everything the RE franchise has accomplished over the years. Yet, at the same time, it still manages to deliver something fresh and exciting to the mix. It's just one of those games you'll have to play sooner or later, we think.

Need for Speed: Heat - 75% Discount
We know, we know - Forza Horizon's latest iteration is sweeping genre fanatics in a frenzy. But hey, not everyone's into that sort of experience. If you'd prefer to go really deep with tuning, customization, and a genuinely engaging progression system, instead, Need for Speed Heat may be the way to go. With fast cars, a stellar atmosphere, and more customization than you'd expect from any AAA car racing game, Heat has proven that there's life left in the NFS franchise after all. Dishonored 2 - 70% Discount
A true immersive sim title, Dishonored 2 has etched itself into our proverbial brain forever. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown - 75% Discount
You'd think that dogfighting games would be a reasonably popular niche, wouldn't you? Sadly, they are very few and far between in 2021, with Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown being the only major representative as of right now. The game is a strange mishmash of anime tropes and hyper-realistic fighter plane combat. This alone sets it apart from virtually everything else on the market, we feel. Even if you ignore this, though, Ace Combat 7 proves time and again that it's a phenomenal experience, even if you're not too keen on planes or dogfighting.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition - 42% Discount
A revitalization of the legendary Mass Effect trilogy, Legendary Edition is pretty much everything its fans could've wished for just a few years back. You even get a snazzy launcher to keep your save games neat and tidy! All you need to do is to grab our 42% off, choose if you want to be a Renegade or a Paragon, and start a one-of-a-kind space opera journey like you've never experienced before.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla - 50% Discount
Ubisoft's latest and greatest Assassin's Creed title offers a uniquely fascinating look at the classic Viking tropes we all know and love. The aptly-titled Valhalla invites players into a huge, sprawling rendition of the Viking expansion into the British Isles. Filled to the brim with activities, quests, progression options, and - yes - combat, Valhalla proves that the franchise's revised RPG progression systems aren't done just yet. It's a massive game, more so than almost any other on this list. If you're hoping to get lost in a game universe for weeks or even months at a time, Valhalla is the way to go.
